3D Still Life

My teacher suggested that I do a still life made up of 3D objects. The still life is done with pencil and ink.

I am working on accurate form using 3D objects to better my understanding of the human figure.

Critique Reflection

When my work from Studio Art was critiqued I received a lot of good feedback. My friends and peers agreed with me that I needed to work harder on getting correct proportions of the human figure in figure drawing class. However they really like my use of color and value.

Independent Art Project

Hello! So my class has started and independent art project in class today. We can do what ever we want, any media, any style. When I went to National Portfolio Day, one of the colleges suggested that I ass more still lives to my portfolio. I really like drawing metal, and I found this out with our last project which was to draw metal objects metal. So I decided that I would do a water color still life of a chair. I really love water color and I feel like painting a chair in this media would turn out as a very strong piece.

Metal Project 1

The most difficult thing was to capture the apple with the appropriate style so you can tell it's an apple. Something I was successful in was the value in the apple corer.
